Bagenkop, the southernmost town of Langeland was founded in the 16th century as a small fishing village. The sight of the seagull and the blue boat moving to and fro with a chug, the smell of tar and salt water is a new experience for many. You can visit this port to experience a genuine and unique harbour ambience. Here, the catch will be unloaded regularly. Even anglers on recreation can enjoy fishing. Enjoy the beautiful coast of Langeland while you sail on an elegant recreation boat through the archipelago of south Funen. From the hill Bagenkop Bjerg, you can admire the splendid view of the Baltic Sea and the beautiful hat-shaped hill in the hinterland, formed during the ice age. The oldest part of the town Bagenkop with small fishermen's houses, many of which are partly built with timber and thatched roof, awaits your arrival. They stay nearby and some are sheltered by the Bagenkop Bjerg. In course of time, this original, hat-shaped hill has been eroded by the sea, to split it transversely. You can enjoy an extremely unique landscape of Dovns Klingt, the southernmost point of Langeland. The fantastic view of wild horses grazing in a large area is adorable. You can also take up short or long hiking tours and enjoy nature.
