This home is our favorite discovery of what happens when you combine ocean air with an urban setting. Located in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, this one bedroom is part of the Movenpick residences and hotel. Ideal for the solo traveler or couple looking to be beachside, we recommend staying here if you seek a quiet stay close to the marina.
Like most of our homes, the open plan architecture is signature. Upon entering, there is a small guest bathroom to your left followed by a partially enclosed kitchen. We encourage cooking so kitchenware and all the tools to whip up a cooking bonanza are present. We also love coffee and Nespresso so that’s there too along with complimentary capsules to get you started. Modern appliances and Marble tops set the scene for mise-en-place.
The kitchen overlooks the hearth of the home. A dining table that seats four is close by for easy serving. Hand-upholstered chairs and a glass topped dining table invite long round table discussions on the perks of being a wallflower vs. Breakfast at Tiffany’s as molding cinematic experiences. The center stage of the home is a large grey L shaped sofa and modular TV console. A small but formidable sound bar is blue tooth enabled for nights in with Puccini’s Tosca or Poltergeist with surround sound. Pre-programmed Netflix is always a favorite. Design accents reminiscent of another world make the space cozier. A large balcony and a partial sea view invite pondering over your next power move.
The balcony connects to the bedroom which is home to a crisp king size bed and en suite bathroom. We pride ourselves on having the foresight to tap into the Four Seasons sheet supply so 300 thread count Egyptian Cotton dresses every Fantastay Bed. The bathroom is sized for an impromptu ballroom dance. With both bath and walk in shower, never fight over who bathes first again. The fluffiest towels await for a womb like dry off experience. Acqua Di Parma toiletries are also present because they’re amazing.
Jumeirah Lakes Towers is one of Dubai’s newer communities known for the series of lakes and clusters bustling with concept driven restaurants and stores. The advantage of both quiet and busy is notable here as many young professionals make this their residence.
