This spacious holiday home is part of a compact and cosy holiday park. The historical town centre of Franeker is only 200m away. The location is excellent for exploring the province of Friesland. The park contains first class facilities which can be used free of charge: a fitness center with computer-controlled cardio apparatus, indoor squash and an aerobics hall. In addition, you can rent a bike or a canoe or make use of the bowling alley with automated score-keeping.Next to the park there is an indoor swimming pool with childrens pool, slide, jet stream and bubble bath. Even the clients of this owner have to pay for the swimming pool. Last but not least there are a number of outdoor facilities like: volleyball and basketball.Park Bloemketerp has its own indoor playground, the Monkey Town, located in the main building of Bloemketerp. The guests of Bloemketerp have the option of purchasing weekly tickets ( 10.00 per child 1-12 years of age) & midweek / weekend tickets ( 5.00 per child 1-12 years of age). With these cards, your children can play for an unlimited time on the playground during your stay. Adults/Attendants have free access to the playground.
This beautiful and luxuriously decorated [attached] villa is suitable for a maximum of 8 persons. Please be aware that the accomodation is small for 8 adults. The villa has an entryway with toilet, a living room, dining area and kitchen, 3 bed rooms,a bathroom and a terrace facing south. The living room has a sitting area furnished with two couches, a fauteuil (upholstered chair) and cable TV. The dining area has a table and chairs. The kitchen borders the living room and is equipped with a 4-burner cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. There are three bedrooms: one bedroom has two singel beds, one bedroom has three single beds and the third bedroom has a bunk bed and one single bed. The bathroom is equipped with a sink, shower, second toilet. The terrace is furnished and the house itself has floor heating.
This park makes an excellent base for exploring the province of Friesland. Many places of interest are nearby, like the historic city center of Franeker. The cozy inner city of the town, famous for being one of the eleven cities of the Elfstedentocht (a large skating event), is just a stone's throw away from the park. If you would like to explore the area from an original point of view, you can rent a canoe at the dock in the park. For cycling fans there are a number of routes like the Elfstedenroute (Eleven Cities Route). Remarkable sites in Franeker include the town hall (built in renaissance style in 1591), the Martini church, the old court yards, the famous Elfstedenbruggetje (bridge) and the old weighing house in the Voorstraat where the tourist information center is now located. The planetarium of Eise Eisinga is also a nice place to visit. It's the oldest planetarium in the world still in operation. If you would like to enjoy the Frisian waters, a boat tour on one of the Frisian lakes or a day trip to one of the islands of Terschelling or Vlieland, will make your day unforgettable. Sea fishing in Harlingen is also a very good option.
