Villa Tenganan, now independently rented and owned, is 1 of 4, 2 storey villas within the property known as Kura Kura Villas. The property is an oasis in Candidasa on 20are (2000sq mtrs). The property also has a large turtle shaped pool which is one of the few that are salt water chlorinated, complemented with a shaded relaxing area to lay back with a cool drink or a good book. A shade sail is also over the kiddies pool. All this within a luxury garden setting that includes plenty of grassed areas.
The villa is fully self contained and air-conditioned in the sleeping areas, which are upstairs, and the living areas which are downstairs. The bedrooms also have ceiling fans.
Also upstairs is a toilet and hand basin and plenty of cupboard space and drawers to put away the clothes. Take advantage of the afternoon sea breeze on the balcony up stairs.
Downstairs are the kitchen, dining area, bathroom and lounge area.
Our friendly, local, Balinese staff are on hand 7 days a week to make our guests stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Housekeeping is done as requested and we have security on the grounds overnight.
We are approximately 100 meters from the sea and enjoy the onshore and trade winds that prevail on tropical islands during different seasons.
Watching the local fisherman return in their jukungs (traditional Balinese outriggers) with their catch of the morning and the activity that follows, when the families, including the children, sort through the nets to load the women's tubs with fish to take to the street to sell is an experience.
This is also a great area to snorkel or swim in the cool, clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
From the moment you step out of the secure gated grounds there is a selection of restaurants, with both local and western cuisine, as well as boutique and convenience shops.
While our villa is self-contained we can prepare breakfast (at extra cost) and deliver to your villa.
We can arrange a variety of activities for guests who enjoy snorkelling, fishing, surfing, trekking or wish to tour the sites of this Bali region commonly known by the Balinese themselves as "the Real Bali".
Candidasa is a 2 hour scenic drive from Denpasar airport, through rice and corn fields, Balinese villages, all between coastal and mountain scenery.
