Alexander Heights™ is found at the top of Pissouri Village and the swathe of
apartments are attractively ‚staggered™ into the hills. Being a peaceful retreat for
honeymooners of all ages this is a must for anyone seeking Cypriot warmth,
hospitality and history. Nestling in beautiful countryside this self-catering apartment
has stunning and ever changing views with vibrant blue skies, turquoise seas and
the expanse of Pissouri bay to mountains beyond.

There is a large communal swimming pool which is available for the private use of
guests staying at the Complex.
The space
Layout: Terrace leads into the Open Plan Lounge and fully equipped kitchen with
bedroom sited beyond. The bathroom is off to one side.
Terrace: The French doors and Shutters open out on to the Large Terrace
with Round table & chairs (seats 4) for al fresco Dining, 2 Loungers and large
comfortable deck Chair, Sun Parasol, a litany of pots, plants and beauty
complements an amazing view!
Lounge: Sleeping a maximum of 4, there is a double bed (king-size) in the bedroom
and a double sofa bed in plush velvet situated in the lounge.
The apartment is self-catering and has everything you need; a Large fridge Freezer;
Cooking on a proper stove with oven and Hob; Tv and Dvd player; washing
machine; ; Sheets, duvets, towels are all provided for. Only thing you will need to
bring are beach towels. Air-conditioning if you need it although the place has such
lovely cool breezes in the hot Cyprus sun.
Guest access
There is a large communal swimming pool which is available for the private use of
guests staying at the Complex. We have an allocated parking bay (po2) close to
the flat and there is plenty of parking on the road with no through traffic.
The Neighbourhood
My apartment is in a great position centrally located to explore some of the ancient
sites; Temples of Apollo and Aphrodite; the breathtakingly amphitheatre at Curium
where you can catch some Shakespeare or music concert during the Summer
months.
Pissouri covers 2 areas; the charming, traditional Cypriot, hill-top village - which
one can see from far off! and Pissouri Bay
From the apartment, just saunter down to the Village (aboutmins
walk).There are some delightful tavernas, cafés and bars in Pissouri ( the square is
buzzing in the summer months) Also, as well as the old world charm of the village,
there are plenty of shops, supermarket, banks, pharmacy, and amphitheatre ; built
in 2000, this 800 seater offers regular shows, plays, recitals. There is an excellent,
large Supermarket, on the main road almost opposite the turning going up to
Pissouri Village, called ‚papa Antonio™; has great range of everything from delicious
cheeses, wines, bakery, good fruit & veg etc.
Just a short drive down the hill (10 mins approx.) will bring you to the stunning
Pissouri bay. The beach is one of the most exclusive and unspoiled beaches of the
island; Sandy and safe for swimming plus there are plenty of traditional water
sports (jet skis, water sports, scuba diving, boat hire,) if you want to be more
active, after soaking up the Cyprus sun and there are some wonderful walks in the
area.
How about Lunch? There are plenty of traditional Cypriot tavernas serving up
delicious Mezes, fresh fish and seafood on the beach and in the village. Also,
many choices of other international food cuisine. At the end of the day, you might
like Cocktails at the 5-star Columbia Hotel and Retreat. Further afield,
shopping in the bustling towns of Paphos & Limassol (only 20/30 mins drive away);
Both have lovely Marinas.
A short drive inland offers the cooler Platres and Troodos Mountains. If you are a keen golfer, there are some world class courses within a short drive, namely Aphrodite Hills and Secret valley.
Getting Around
Nearest Airport is Paphos which is only 20 mins drive. Ideally Cyprus is best
explored by car. We can recommend an excellent and cheap car hire who will deliver
to the airport ( ask me for the contact details).
There are Service taxis specific to Cyprus who travel between the main Cities
(cheaper than an ordinary taxi) Also there are the local bus services, bicycle,
motorbike hire too.
Other things to note
Because the electricity costs for air conditioning can be expensive; Electricity, water
and taxes are Included in the price. However, please note that electricity
consumption is subject to a fair usage policy of 50 Euros per week (more than
adequate for normal usage). Electricity readings will be taken prior to your arrival
and immediately after checkout. If electricity consumption is over the fair usage
limit, any extra amount will be charged at Euros 0.30/kwh. We suggest turning off
the air conditioning when you don’t really need it and especially when you daily
leave the apartment.
