The sky and sea lend special light to the tip of Denmark, because of which this stretch of land is known as 'Land of Light'. There are dunes, forests, arable land, heath, meadows and moors and even some unique natural phenomenons like nature protected gigantic shifting sand dune of Råbjerg Mile. While moving, the dune has buried the oak forests. It moves continuously towards the east coast at a speed of up to 15 metres / year. The Tilsandede Kirke (the buried church) witnesses the sand drifts and even the parish church of Skagen is not spared.
