The island of Fanø possesses a varied, undulating landscape of wide open spaces, woodland and attractive, broad white sandy beaches that provide plenty of room for all the family. The island's attractive dune formations are characterized by undisturbed, sunny hollows that are perfect for relaxing with a good book, while the beach at Fanø Bad is one of the few in Denmark which allows cars to drive right up to the shoreline. Fanø also offers plenty of sights and attractions, including historic churches, fascinating museums and many old thatched buildings dating back to the 1800's. There are also plenty of good walking opportunities on the attractive, well-marked country paths.
