Why Our Apartment and Fuzeta:
Fuzeta (aka Fuseta) is a traditional fishing village, with some of the best beaches in Europe and views over the Ilha da Armona (aka the Ilha da Fuzeta) & the Ria Formosa National Park. Our apartment situated on the Fuzeta Ria is an ideal place to unwind and have a break from it all in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the Algarve.

The apartment boasts views over the Ria Formosa lagoon and salt pans, then on to the Ilha da Fuzeta and the Atlantic Ocean with easy access to unspoilt areas of natural beauty. The apartment is contemporary and part of a development of 30 apartments and 20 town houses built to very high specifications, with air- conditioning throughout and full width sliding windows. Access to the apartment is through a secured lobby with video door entry access system and a multi-point locking front door. We also have a tiled garden to the rear of the apartment with a gazebo, Portuguese style Bbq, sun loungers as well as an al fresco dining table and chairs. The apartment comprises of two spacious bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, separate shower room and toilet. The open, airy living area with dining area and fully equipped kitchen opens to the front. with views over the Ria Formosa National Park (an ornithologist’s paradise) and the Ilha da Armona. The views from the swimming pools and around the grounds of the property are hard to beat. Set within a boutique development, it is quiet, luxurious and has a definite wow factor. 2 pools including a roof top infinity pool are available for guests use. This apartment has everything you need for a great stay in this undiscovered region of the Algarve.

We chose the traditional fishing village of Fuzeta because it is not over commercialised, over crowded, it boasts fantastic beaches and retains the family orientated 'old Portugal' vibe. Fuzeta also has several grocery shops and a fresh fish, meat and produce market in the village. The village and marina/fishing port host a variety of excellent, simple bars and restaurants with great tasting value for money food for all tastes. Seafood is obviously a speciality. There is something for everyone with loads of local water sports activities and tours, several nearby quality golf courses, water parks a short drive away and horse riding. We also regularly use the local train service and haven't hired a car for our last 5 stays. The village is a 10 minute stroll away from the apartment and host a railway station. The bigger towns of Olhao and Tavira are within easy reach by either train or car. Faro Airport is 30 minute drive away.

Notes on accommodation:
The apartment is located at the end of a quiet Cul-de-sac, situated on the ground floor and accessed through a locked lobby with a video door entry system. Bright airy fully air-conditioned rooms with laminated wood floors to bedrooms and hallway. Cooling ceramic floor tiles cover the living area and bathrooms. Both bathrooms are fitted with shower cubicles. This is a front-line location with great views of the lagoon, salt pans, the Ilha Da Armona, the Atlantic Ocean and the swimming pools from the lounge.

Our property is cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival. We remove any previous guest items, including all cooking items or hygiene products. This is to comply with Rental Licence and Covid rules for Portugal. As a self-catering property we value your privacy and but should you require an extra paid cleaning service during your stay please let us know in advance. To provide the best service for our guests we do provide hand soap and a toilet rolls per bathroom. The tap water is fit for human consumption. We also offer a selection of hampers for an extra fee which we can discuss after your booking confirmation.

Please note that unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets and smoking indoors is forbidden.

The apartment floorspace is approximately 86m2 and the garden to the back is 46m2

Bedrooms:
Sleeps 4/6 (2 Bedrooms + Fold-out double couch in the lounge)

Bedroom 1 with double bed, triple fitted wardrobe, large en-suite bathroom with double shower, toilet, basin & bidet. We also have a travel cot for the smaller ones.

Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds (can be pushed together), double fitted wardrobe.
Both bedrooms have sliding doors access to the tiled garden.

Open Plan Living Area:
Panoramic open plan living and dining area, fully glass fronted sliding windows offering sea views. Furnished with a large corner sofa that contains the fold out sofa bed. There is a Tv with 200 channels via the Meo subscription, Dvd & Wii. The Wii has 6 games and 4 controllers available.

There is Wi-fi available and access to the internet is through a 200mb fibre based broadband connection through Meo.

Dining area:
The dining area is part of the open plan, kitchen, lounge and dining area and seats 6. Most guests dine al-fresco, under the gazebo on the private patio where we also have a Portuguese style Bbq for use. A child's high chair can be hired separately on request.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped and spacious with electric oven, 4 plate gas hob, marble work tops, integrated microwave, washing machine, large fridge/freezer. All kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware, kettle, expresso machine, juicer, blender, coffee percolator and toaster. Cool bag with ice-packs.

Wi-fi
We have a 200mb fibre broadband connection with wi-fi throughout the apartment. There is also free wi-fi available in the pool complex and you will find most cafes and restaurants will have wi-fi too.

Linen and Towels:
All linens including bathroom towels, hand towels, fitted sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and blankets are provided for your stay. Long term stays will be provided with double sets of linen. There is a washing machine in the apartment or we can arrange for your laundry to be done at cost +15%, there is also a token operated tumble dryer and washing machine in the pool complex. Fuzeta also has a self-service Laundromat / Lavanderia for bulkier washes.

Beach towels are also provided. However, please wash and dry these before leaving or an additional charge of €15 will be deducted from the breakage deposit)

Private Patio and Outdoors:
We have a decent sized, tiled garden to the rear of the apartment with sun loungers. Eat al- fresco on the dining table and chairs under a gazebo, highly recommend fish that you have grilled on the Portuguese style charcoal Bbq purchased fresh from the market.

The Complex:
The complex is in its own cul de sac with next to no traffic other than owners and guests, parking is freely available. It has communal gardens to Portuguese stone and grass with benches to sit and admire the views or watch the sun go down with a glass of the local vino. We also have a small 2 seat garden table and chairs to sit outside the front of the apartment for early morning coffee and pastel de nata.

Pool Complex:
The pool complex has split level pools with amazing views across the Ria Formosa and assorted salt pans. There is a wide array of bird life including flamingos on the pans.

The pool is secured and accessed by a secure swipe card system.

We would highly recommend booking beauty treatments with Heidy of Beauty Secrets situated in rooms in the pool complex.

There is also a laundrette consisting of a washing machine and dryer, both coin operated.

There are also lockers available to store your luggage in whilst waiting for flights.
There is a well-stocked library which you are welcome to borrow from as well as vending machines supplying beers, cold drinks and ice creams.

Getting There:
We can arrange a taxi to pick you up and drop you off at the airport, if you prefer to drive then we can provide directions. Faro airport is about 30 minutes away from the apartment.

Outdoors:
2 adult bicycles are available for your use and there are 2 places you can hire bikes from in the village. The cycle paths around Fuzeta are flat and well maintained and an early morning ride is highly recommended.

The Ilha da Fuzeta is one of the best beaches in the Algarve. You can get to it by ferry (high season) or water taxi. In the high season there is a variety of beach bars and water sports available. Other beaches are accessible by water taxi, availability is season dependant.

Fuzeta is home to an excellent tour company called Passeios Ria Formosa. They offer a wide range of water sport activities from dolphin watching, fishing trips, snorkelling to see sea horses, sailing tours, houseboats, aqua-taxi's to some of the less visited beaches, boat tours of the Ria Formosa National Park, bird watching tours, group tours for up to 80 people, various inland tours, sailboat and catamaran rental.

Golf:
There are several superb golf courses all within a 30 minute drive, the nearest being Colina Verde only 4km away. This 9 hole executive par 3 golf course is suitable for players of all levels with an average playing time of 1.5 hours.
Benamor - Ranked 25 by the visitors of Portugal golf Experience, the 1st course to be open to the east of Faro. The course offers both southward views out to the Atlantic Ocean and northwards towards the hinterland with its striking hills and fertile valleys.
Quinta Da Ria - Is a spectacular 18 hole golf course and is in the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It spreads along down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea. It is a par 72, comprising of two loops of 9 holes and each loop with two par -5, five par -4 and two par -3 holes.
Monte Rei - Ranked 1 by the Visitors of Portugal Golf Experience. This par 72 championship course, is a truly unique and challenging design.
