The flora, fauna and dry meadows of Veysonnaz have been preserved, thanks to conservation efforts. Plucking of Silver Thistle flowers or Gentians is frowned upon.The high mountains can be explored and offer guests exotic tours. The 12 km long "Bisse de Vex", for example, is a 15th century irrigation channel and has undergone expensive restoration.
