Anemospito apartment is located on a quiet road. 300 metres high on the south coast of Crete. There is a magnificent view of the Libyan sea. The picturesque romantic fishing village of Agia Galini nestling in its own small harbour is only a 5 minutes drive. Its friendly little streets are full of cosy restaurants, bars and pavement cafes.
At around 100 metres from the harbour there is a sandy beach with lively Greek tavernas.
This air-conditioned apartment has a garden and fantastic seaview with direct access to your private swimming pool with lovely terrace. 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a fully equipped open kitchen. The apartment is set in a rugged terrain and offers a panoramic view of Sea, spectacular mountains, fauna and ancient olive orchards.
You can make a variety of enjoyable trips from Agia Galini: From the harbour you can book excursions to other coastal resorts like Preveli, with its magnificent palm trees and beautiful location at the end of Kroustaliotiko gorge, where the river flows into the sea. From Agia Galini you can see other resorts, like Matala, which used to be famous as a hippy centre. You can still see the caves where the hippies hung out and where you can relax on the beautiful sandy beach. The Samaria gorge is of course the most famous on Crete but there are at least four other gorges in the area that offer spectacular fauna and natural surroundings. For a change the old cities of Rethimnon or Heraklion are certainly worth a visit. Rethimnon and Heraklion are one hour driving by car.
In agia galini is a bus station there are taxis or you can rent bicycles, mopeds or motorbikes.
