There are child-friendly beaches on the north coast of Jutland. The temperature of the water here is usually higher than that of west coast. The beaches are free from traffic and the tides are low as compared to the North Sea. You can visit the white sandy beaches on the west coast in Kandestederne and Skiveren, which are only a short drive away from the house. This part of Vendsyssel offers many attractions like the Eagle Reserve, Råbjerg Mile, Skagen with the sand bar Grenen and many museums. The commercial city of Frederikshavn has splendid pedestrian zones with nice shops and cafes. Palm Beach in Frederikshavn is also worth a visit.
