Just 1 km away is the picturesque Lake della Gherardesca, and also nearby the Oasis of Bottaccio, where you can admire specimens of plants and birds related to humid environments, such as herons and ducks, on wooden walkways that allow to admire a pristine nature up close. Do not miss a view of the city of Lucca (15 km) famous for its intact 16th-century walls and its many medieval churches. Pisa with the famous Piazza dei Miracoli and the leaning tower at 28 km, Montecatini with its thermal establishments and a beautiful old town full of shops and clubs at 24 km.
