The often deserted beach is one of Koh Samui's calmer beaches and its long sweep of sand enjoys tranquil waters all year round. On the road out of Bang Rak towards Bo Phut, the villa is on the fringes of the main shop and restaurant strip. Take a left out of the villa's Balinese style front door and walk 500m or so and you reach a diverse selection of generally casual dining options from Italian to street-side-Thai, dotted with bars – many carrying English names, like the Elephant and Castle. Alternatively take the more casual route and walk along the beach.
